Bambu Lab builds each model in several versions. This is the one we stock and what we bring to order.
Official name: X1-Carbon Combo
- X1-Carbon printer
- One AMS for four materials
Official name: X1-Carbon
- X1-Carbon printer without AMS
Flagship of the X series for anyone printing technical parts: carbon fiber nylon, polycarbonate, ABS and ASA. Ships with a hardened steel nozzle, LiDAR that inspects the first layer and an AI camera that alerts your phone if something goes wrong. For professionals who leave long runs unattended.
- Hardened steel 50 HRC nozzle and 300 °C metal hotend: prints carbon fiber nylon and polycarbonate without changing anything.
- 120 °C bed and 60 °C chamber: less warping and fewer cracks in ABS, ASA and PC.
- 500 mm/s and 20,000 mm/s²: a Benchy in 16 min 30 s.
- 7 µm LiDAR inspects the first layer and calibrates flow on its own; the AI camera alerts your phone if there is spaghetti.
- With AMS it prints up to 16 materials or colors in a single job.
- 43 sensors level the bed with double redundancy (force and optical) and compensate for vibration before every print.
- LAN only mode and SD card: works without internet.

Compatibility
AMS
AMS (up to 4 units with AMS Hub SA002-N, 16 materials). Does not use AMS lite.

Materials
Prints
- PLA
- PETG
- ABS
- ASA
- PC (polycarbonate)
- PA-CF (carbon fiber nylon)
- PLA-CF and PETG-CF
With care
- TPU 95A: from an external spool, not through the AMS (only TPU for AMS 68D runs through the AMS)
- PLA Glow and fiber filaments: abrasive, use the hardened nozzle that ships stock
Not recommended
- PPA-CF, PPA-GF, PPS and PPS-CF: they need 320 °C, only on the X1E
Versus its siblings
| X1E | The X1E adds Ethernet, WPA2-Enterprise, a physical network switch, G3 + HEPA H12 + carbon filter, active chamber heating to 60 °C and a 320 °C nozzle. Sold only through distributors. |
|---|---|
| P1S | The P1S has no 7 µm LiDAR, no AI camera for spaghetti and no hotend with hardened components; that is why it has no official support for PA-CF or PC. |
| H2D | The same car model takes 17 h 16 min on the H2D and 26 h 29 min on the X1C. The H2D reaches 350 °C and heats the chamber to 65 °C. |
| X2D | The X2D adds a dual nozzle, a heated chamber at 65 °C and a G3 + HEPA H12 + carbon filter; the X1C filters with activated carbon only. |
Good to know
- Belt tensioning is not automatic: the printer detects the resonance shift and warns you; you make the adjustment with the tensioner.
- Core XY structure: maintenance and repair are harder than on an i3.
- Maximum nozzle 300 °C: PPA-CF, PPA-GF, PPS and PPS-CF are left to the X1E.
- No active chamber heating and no HEPA filter (those belong to the X1E).
- Bambu Lab has already pulled it from its US online store; the current line is the X2D. Worth confirming restock availability.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use it without internet?
Yes. It has a LAN only mode to control it and send jobs over the local network, and it also prints offline from an SD card.
Does it print carbon fiber without changing the nozzle?
Yes. It ships with a hardened steel 50 HRC nozzle and a 300 °C hotend, designed for PA-CF and PC.
Do I need to watch the first layer?
No. The LiDAR and the AI inspect the first layer and, if there is an anomaly, send an alert to your phone.
Can I use filament from other brands?
Yes. The printer and the AMS accept third-party spools. RFID reading and remaining filament estimation only work with Bambu Lab spools. A Bambu spool measures 200 mm in diameter, 55 mm core and 67 mm wide; a spool from another brand must fit those dimensions to go inside the AMS.
What is the difference from the X1E?
The X1E is the same machine set up for companies: 320 °C nozzle, chamber with its own 60 °C heater, HEPA filter with activated carbon and a wired network port. It costs more and is sold only through distributors. For general use, the X1-Carbon prints the same.
What warranty does NODEM give?
NODEM gives a 30 day warranty and records the serial number of the unit at the time of sale. That serial number identifies the machine to the service workshop and to Bambu Lab.
Can I get spare parts?
Yes. Every part has an official Bambu Lab SKU code and NODEM orders it by that code. The NODEM service guide lists the frequent cases and the spare parts for this model.
Warranty and service
Bambu Lab factory warranty: we review each case and handle it as an authorized distributor. We give a 30-day warranty for factory defects from the sale, with the serial number on the invoice.
Original parts by official part number and our own workshop in Maracaibo.
