Bambu PLA Basic
PLA at 190 to 230 °C, 1 kg and 330 m with RFID chip
Bambu Lab's most common PLA: easy to print with good results. Made from crops such as corn and sugarcane. For figures, custom items, signs and prototypes on any Bambu printer, with or without AMS.

Does it work in the AMS?
Yes, in all of them. Only PLA Glow is left out of the AMS lite.
What is the refill?
The spool free version: it comes with the filament, desiccant, instructions and a label to reuse a Bambu spool.
Does it work for outdoor parts?
Not the right choice: low heat resistance and limited weather resistance. For outdoors, PETG or ASA.

PETG at 230 to 260 °C, water resistant, for tools and outdoors
Mid level material: easy to print, the heat resistance of ABS without toxic fumes, water resistant and very durable. For functional parts, tools and long term outdoor parts.

Does it print on the open A1?
Yes. PETG does not need an enclosed chamber; the A2L and the A1 list it as a supported material.
Does it need glue?
Not on Textured PEI or SuperTack. On Smooth PEI Bambu calls for adhesive with materials other than PLA.
What is the difference from PETG HF?
HF is designed for speed: consistent finish at any speed with minimal tuning.
Does it run through the AMS?
Yes, in every AMS.

Bambu TPU 95A HF and TPU for AMS
Flexible 95A from an external spool, or 68D at 238 mm/s through the AMS
Two TPUs with different uses. TPU 95A HF is soft, impact resistant and resists repeated flexing, and prints from an external spool. TPU for AMS is 68D hardness, firmer, and is the one that runs through the AMS and AMS lite at higher speed.

Which one runs through the AMS?
Only TPU for AMS with 68D hardness. TPU 95A HF goes from an external spool.
Which one is more flexible?
TPU 95A HF. The 68D sits on the scale of rigid plastics and hard rubbers.
Does it need drying?
Yes. TPU is prone to absorbing moisture; the AMS 2 Pro dries at 65 °C.
What temperature does it print at?
230 °C for both according to the official table.

Bambu ASA
Engineering grade with better UV resistance than ABS, for outdoors
Engineering grade filament with properties similar to ABS and better UV resistance. Needs a high temperature bed and gives off odor while printing. For car parts, outdoor parts and anything that lives under the sun.
- Enclosed printers: P1S, X1C, X1E, P2S, X2D, H2D, H2S, H2C
Can I print it on the A1?
Not recommended: it is open and ASA cracks without an enclosed chamber. Go with the P1S or higher.
Does it smell?
Yes, strong odor. The P1S and X1C filter with activated carbon; the X1E, X2D and H2 add HEPA H12.
ASA or ABS?
Similar properties; ASA has better UV resistance. For sun and weather, ASA.
Does it run through the AMS?
Yes.

Bambu Lab glue for build plate
Official glue stick or liquid adhesive for X1, P1 and the A1 series
Official Bambu Lab adhesives for the build plate: SGL001 stick and LGL001 liquid. Bambu states that the Smooth PEI requires adhesive for materials other than PLA.

Does it work with the Textured PEI?
With PLA and PETG it is not needed. Bambu calls for it on the Smooth PEI with materials other than PLA.
