Materials
Prints
- PLA
- PETG
- TPU (with the high flow TPU hotend or an external spool)
- ABS
- ASA
- PC
- PA-CF, PAHT-CF, PA6-CF and PET-CF
- ABS-GF and PA6-GF
- Soluble and dedicated supports in the second nozzle
With care
- PPS-CF and PPA-CF: do not run through the AMS, use an external spool
- Nylon and PC: dry first (AMS HT dries at 85 °C)
Not recommended
- Nothing in the Bambu Lab range is ruled out by temperature: the hotend reaches 350 °C
Versus its siblings
| H2S | The H2S is single hotend, has no side windows, laser only at 10 W and a 340 × 320 × 340 mm volume. |
|---|---|
| X1C | The same car model takes 17 h 16 min on the H2D and 26 h 29 min on the X1C. The H2D adds a dual nozzle, 350 °C, active chamber at 65 °C, linear rail on X and a HEPA filter. |
| X2D | The X2D has a Bowden auxiliary nozzle and mechanical switching, without the H series price barrier; the H2D uses two direct drive extruders and reaches 350 °C versus 300 °C. |
| H2C | The H2C swaps the right hotend for an induction hotend with an automatic swap rack. |
In the box
- Variants: H2D (no AMS), H2D AMS Combo (with AMS 2 Pro), H2D Laser Full Combo 10 W and 40 W (with laser module, platforms, Birds Eye camera and emergency stop). The AMS HT is sold separately.
Good to know
- The 350 × 320 × 325 mm volume only applies in dual combined mode; with one nozzle it is 325 × 320 × 325 mm.
- Laser safety windows come standard only on the laser edition.
- CO2 extinguisher, air purifier and rotary attachment are optional.
- Foreign object detection has a diagonal blind zone and side strips of about 6 cm with no coverage.
- Version without laser: no air pump.
- Does not use AMS lite.
Frequently asked questions
How big can it print?
325 × 320 × 325 mm with one nozzle; 350 × 320 × 325 mm in dual combined mode; 300 × 320 × 325 mm in dual overlapped mode.
What does the laser cut?
5 mm plywood with 10 W and 15 mm with 40 W. The laser only comes in the Laser Full Combo versions.
Does it need internet?
No. It can run fully offline over LAN or USB, and it has a Developer Mode with MQTT.
Which AMS works with it?
AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT, up to 4 + 8 with hubs (25 colors). The first generation AMS works without drying. The AMS lite does not.
Can I use filament from other brands?
Yes. The printer and the AMS accept third-party spools. RFID reading and remaining filament estimation only work with Bambu Lab spools. A Bambu spool measures 200 mm in diameter, 55 mm core and 67 mm wide; a spool from another brand must fit those dimensions to go inside the AMS.
What warranty does NODEM give?
NODEM gives a 30 day warranty and records the serial number of the unit at the time of sale. That serial number identifies the machine to the service workshop and to Bambu Lab.
Can I get spare parts?
Yes. Every part has an official Bambu Lab SKU code and NODEM orders it by that code. The NODEM service guide lists the frequent cases and the spare parts for this model.
Warranty and service
Bambu Lab factory warranty: we review each case and handle it as an authorized distributor. We give a 30-day warranty for factory defects from the sale, with the serial number on the invoice.
